Our leaders work collaboratively, encourage innovation, and empower employees to make decisions that positively impact residents, teams, and the communities we serve.What You'll DoAs a Floating Community Manager, you'll lead both the operational and people side of apartment community management.Responsibilities include:Lead the day-to-day operations of conventional apartment communities.Drive occupancy, leasing performance, resident retention, and financial performance.Coach, mentor, and develop onsite leasing and maintenance teams.Manage budgets, reporting, rent collections, renewals, and operational performance.Maintain exceptional curb appeal and community standards.Conduct property inspections and identify opportunities for operational improvements.Resolve resident concerns with professionalism and urgency.Partner with Regional Managers on strategic initiatives and community performance.Support multiple communities during transitions, growth initiatives, vacations, or other business needs.Implement operational best practices that improve team performance and resident satisfaction.What Makes This Role Different?Unlike traditional Community Manager positions, this role provides the opportunity to expand your leadership across multiple communities while gaining exposure to different teams, operational challenges, and business strategies.It's an ideal next step for an experienced Community Manager who enjoys variety, leadership, and problem-solving.Required QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you'll need:3+ years of Community Manager experience in conventional multifamily housingPrevious property management experienceStrong operational and financial management skillsExperience managing budgets, occupancy, leasing, renewals, and resident relationsProject management experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership and critical thinking abilitiesValid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the North Bay as business needs requireFrequently Asked QuestionsWhat communities will I support?You'll support conventional apartment communities throughout Rutherford Management Company's North Bay portfolio, including Marin County, San Francisco, Santa Rosa, and Rohnert Park.
