Job description

Position Overview

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will play a critical role in partnering with the Controller and CFO in strategic and technology projects to streamline processes and operations as Molded Dimensions continues to grow.

Principle Duties:
  • Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assist the Controller with cost accounting analysis and related projects.
  • Support the accounting staff in streamlining AR and AP processes, which may include some clerical duties.
  • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors; assess any changes necessary.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the Controller and CFO.
  • Assist in the management of cash flow forecasting.
  • Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance departmentโ€™s overall policy and procedure manual.
  • Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the Controller and CFO.
  • Other periodic ad-hoc requests.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Requires a Associatesโ€™ Degree in Accounting.
  • At least 3-5 years of overall professional experience; ideally 4+ years of manufacturing experience with IQMS ERP.
  • Ability to translate financial concepts to colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds.
  • Commitment to training programs that maximize individual and organization goals across the organization including best practices.
  • A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal qualities of intellectual curiosity, integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of Molded Dimensions.
