Job description

Vice President And Quant Analytics Manager

The Small Business Card Analytics team is a strategic partner to the Small Business Card line of business (LOB), leveraging data and analytics to accelerate growth and deliver actionable insights that shape marketing strategies and portfolio management. The team works closely with business partners to enable informed, data-driven decisions and continuous improvement across the Small Business Card portfolio.

As a Vice President and Quant Analytics Manager within the Card Data & Analytics (D&A) organization, you will lead advanced analytics work, including ad-hoc deep dives, financial assessments and portfolio performance analysis. A key focus of the role is serving as a subject matter expert in digital data, applying digital analytics, visualization, and workflow tools such as Adobe Analytics to understand and influence customer behaviors, enabling the team to deliver innovative, digitally informed strategies. This role partners directly with business stakeholders across marketing, product and finance to deliver data-driven strategies, insights, and portfolio decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership and technical expertise in advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, clustering and machine learning.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in digital data, and analyze and visualize digital customer behaviors to translate engagement patterns into insights that shape marketing strategy and product innovation.
  • Manage and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources, connecting customer behaviors across spend, payment, engagement, and digital interactions to actionable strategies that improve profitability and performance.
  • Deliver tactical and strategic insights across marketing, sales, finance, and related business functions using modern visualization and reporting tools, with an emphasis on executive-ready narratives and decision support.
  • Diagnose data quality issues and statistical anomalies, identify process improvement opportunities, and strengthen repeatability and controls across analytics workflows and reporting outputs.
  • Own program management, process development, and stakeholder communications with limited oversight, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and outcomes are clearly managed and transparent.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, establishing high standards for analytical rigor, documentation, and business relevance while building a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Communicate complex analytical results clearly to diverse audiences, tailoring content and level of detail to business partners and senior leadership while enabling decisions and actions.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and leaders across the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) organization to align analytics priorities to business strategy, and collaborate with data owners to influence data models and analytics architecture.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in a quantitative field with (e.g., Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics, or related discipline) with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with digital analytics, visualization, and data workflow tools, including Adobe Analytics.
  • Proven ability to serve as a digital data subject matter expert, including analyzing and visualizing digital customer behaviors and translating findings into business recommendations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with data mining, analytical methods, and implementation of analytics into business strategy and execution.
  • Proficiency in analytical languages (e.g., Python, SAS, R) and experience with Big Data technologies such as Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Advanced SQL capability and experience working with relational databases, including building reproducible datasets and performing quality checks aligned to business use.
  • Experience with dynamic and interactive reporting tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) and the ability to create stakeholder-friendly dashboards and reporting assets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a consulting orientation, including the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex quantitative concepts in plain business language.
  • Track record of delivering analytics and insights to multiple levels of management with clear linkages to performance outcomes and business decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence prioritization and decisions through structured analytics storytelling, crisp recommendations, and well-supported trade-offs.
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners across marketing, product, finance, and risk to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Experience developing executive-ready dashboards and performance measurement frameworks for marketing and portfolio analytics, with consistent KPI definitions and governance.
  • Evidence of identifying, scaling, and institutionalizing process improvements that enhance data quality, repeatability, and reporting efficiency, including documentation and stakeholder adoption.
