Job description

About the Role

Join Appnovation to deliver high-impact results for a global leader in healthcare, contributing to breakthroughs that change patients' lives. As we modernize the digital employee experience, the GTM and Adoption team ensures new platforms become seamlessly embedded into how our colleagues work.

The Adoption Analytics & Insights Lead is the data-driven engine of this team. You will track platform engagement, identify user barriers, and translate deep telemetry into actionable insights. By focusing on core success metrics like 30-day active usage and user sentiment, you will set quarterly targets, build dynamic dashboards, and treat every adoption tactic as a measurable hypothesis. Ultimately, you will diagnose why adoption stalls and route effective solutions using your expertise in Funnel Optimization, ROI Reporting, and Telemetry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Engagement Baseline & Core Metrics: Establish and own the engagement baseline for every colleague-facing platform. Track the two core success metrics (30-day active usage and Sean Ellis "disappointment" test score), setting quarterly targets and ensuring all secondary metrics connect back to them.
  • Adoption Telemetry & Drop-Off Analysis: Define and track critical behavioral metrics, including depth of tool usage, feature breadth, and long-term retention to isolate exactly where users drop out of the adoption lifecycle.
  • Root-Cause Diagnostics & Actionable Routing: Diagnose whether missed adoption targets stem from workflow fit, comprehension gaps, motivation/awareness gaps, or structural barriers, and trigger root-cause reviews with clear recommendations.
  • Readiness Signals over Vanity Metrics: Partner with learning and advocacy leads to track the gap between "completion" or "joining" and actual readiness or active engagement, measuring long-term behavioral changes.
  • Cross-Functional Measurement Partnerships: Synthesize community, learning, and communication performance data into a unified, cross-functional picture of the best tactics, channels, and audience segments.
  • Value Delivery Measurement: Partner with experience architecture and product owners to define and track leading indicators of "value" (e.g., time saved, error reduction, satisfaction) alongside standard usage data.
  • Targeted Re-Engagement Insights: Feed real-time usage data to team leads to enable the design of highly targeted, localized re-activation campaigns and training assets.
  • ROI & Value Realization Reporting: Pair quantitative metrics with qualitative feedback to translate adoption data into clear, numbers-first business value and ROI reports for executive stakeholders.
What We Are Looking ForMust-Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in product analytics, digital telemetry, or marketing growth analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and product analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and measure user activation funnels and adoption metrics, including product-led growth (PLG) metrics (activation, retention cohorts, Sean Ellis-style testing).
  • Proven track record of setting KPI targets, building dashboards, and running a proactive hypothesis-test-and-scale discipline.
  • Excellent data storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex analytics into actionable briefs for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience diagnosing root causes of adoption stalls (workflow fit, content gaps, motivation, organizational barriers).
  • Comfort building and maintaining measurement partnerships across multiple distinct functions (e.g., community, learning, marketing).
  • Experience defining and measuring value-delivery outcomes (time saved, error reduction, quality of output), rather than just raw usage.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience working directly alongside product management, learning, or marketing teams in a growth-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with organizational network analysis (ONA) or workplace analytics.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software telemetry and API integrations.
  • Experience working in pharma, healthcare or similarly regulated enterprise environments.
Who You Are
  • You thrive in a collaborative and agile environment, embracing feedback and iteration.
  • You are curious and continuously seek opportunities to learn and apply new technologies.
  • You take ownership of your work, ensuring high standards and accountability.
  • You communicate clearly, adapting your style to different audiences and stakeholders.
  • You remain adaptable and resilient in the face of shifting priorities or technical challenges.
