The UHealth system at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst 3 in the UHealth Finance Department.
SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst 3 - Central (H) leads the preparation, coordination, review, and analysis of the financial activities for the Central UHealth system to support various financial functions and decision making in an efficient and accurate manner. The Financial Analyst 3 - Central (H) develops forecasts, budgets, and process workflow of documents for authorization and assists management in the decision-making process and strategic planning by presenting relevant financial reports in a clear, concise, and timely manner.

  • Guides and supports financial analyses, providing insights for decision-making.
  • Develops complex revenue and cost models for strategic initiatives.
  • Reviews departmental budgets and forecasts, providing recommendations.
  • Prepares comprehensive financial projections, integrating market trends.
  • Conducts detailed variance analysis and trend forecasting.
  • Identifies and rectifies financial reporting errors, enhancing accuracy.
  • Creates detailed ad-hoc reports for specific business needs.

Education:

DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM
Department Specific Functions
  • Assist with Budget effort for external contracts in coordination with UMMG clinical departments
  • Assist with managing various aspects of external contracts inclusive of monthly reconciliations
  • Assist with data review in Excel and perform basic analysis including use of pivot tables
  • Assist with PowerPoint Presentations
  • Assist with monthly KPI analysis and expense analytics
  • Assist with monthly statistical reporting data gathering and manipulation
  • Assist with physician state funding analysis and budget process
