We are looking to hire a new Legal Analyst to join our central global team to help us manage, evolve and improve how the legal team engages in critical company Compliance, Governance and Risk Management frameworks.

The below represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint including the ability to create compelling reports and dashboards.
  • Experience working with technology and data.
  • Experience in legal work, legal operations, risk or compliance environments.
  • Experience in program management, process design and project delivery.


Depending on factors such as business unit requirements, the nature of the position, cost and applicable laws, American Express may provide visa sponsorship for certain positions. 

Support effective operation, transformation and uplifts of Compliance, Governance and Risk Management frameworks, including Regulatory Change Management, Global Legal Inventory, Global Records Management and New Product Governance. This includes:

  • Assisting the ongoing development and evolution of programs, platforms and processes, including introducing new technologies and automation.
  • Undertaking UX reviews and coordinating feedback from the legal team.
  • Acting as product owner for the legal team supporting platform development.
  • Providing training to colleagues.
  • Managing user access and profiles.
  • Coordinating and supporting periodic program working and review meetings. 
  • Supporting colleagues and stakeholders with ad-hoc requests and queries, understanding the underlying process, and navigating the relevant platforms.
  • Quality assurance reviews to review the quality and completeness of program inputs and task completion, providing feedback and additional support to colleagues.
  • Creating metrics, performance reports and dashboards.
  • Liaising with company stakeholders, including Compliance, Technology, Control Management and others in the day-to-day running of the programs.
  • Managing external counsel, vendors and other third parties related to the supported programs.
  • Coordinating and revising program documentation, training and tools.
  • Producing ad hoc and regular communications for colleagues and leadership regarding the supported programs.
  • Taking on other similar tasks to support the broader work of the Global Counsel's Organization.
