Job description

Role Overview:
This role is for a Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong L3-level expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The successful candidate will provide critical support for mission-critical Linux systems, troubleshoot complex issues, manage clustering environments, and automate tasks using Ansible, while also supporting cloud-based Linux workloads in AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide L3-level support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems in mission-critical environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex OS, performance, storage, network, and application-level issues.
  • Manage and support Red Hat Cluster environments ensuring high availability and business continuity.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
  • Automate system administration and configuration management tasks using Ansible.
  • Implement system hardening, patching, upgrades, and security best practices.
  • Work on system performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with application, network, storage, and security teams.
  • Support cloud-based Linux workloads in AWS (EC2, EBS, VPC, IAM - good to have).
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24x7 production support.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills:
  • Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong L3-level expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
