Amazon Robotics is the global leader of robotics innovation. Our diverse team of engineers come from all over the world to design, test and build our dynamic fleet of robots and mechatronic systems. Current advancements are underway in autonomous movement and mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, manipulation, simulation, robotic management software, predictive analytics, and much more.
The Amazon Robotics (AR) Digital System Development (DSD) team builds and supports enterprise platforms and integrations that make Amazon Robotics product lifecycle management, manufacturing planning, and supply chain operations seamless

Our team is looking for an innovative, results-oriented System Development Engineer (SysDE) focused on enterprise integration to design and scale the event-driven middleware that connects our cloud-native platforms to third-party PLM applications (Oracle Agile PLM, Siemens Teamcenter), ERP systems (Oracle EBS, SAP S/4HANA), MES (Tulip), and external trading partners including third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and critical suppliers. You will own both the internal (integration contracts, event buses, API orchestration layers, and data transformation pipelines across our product portfolio) and external (B2B partner integrations enabling real-time inventory management, order fulfillment, and supply chain collaboration with AR's global logistics network).
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about building enterprise integration platforms that handle 100K+ requests per second, and thinks in terms of event schemas, connectors, B2B data interchange standards, and integration contracts rather than individual application features. Successful candidates will be a high-bandwidth SysDE who can map complex data flows across heterogeneous internal systems and external partner ecosystems, simplify relentlessly, deliver results, and build integration solutions that scale globally.
Key job responsibilities
Design, build, and scale the enterprise integration platform (hub-and-spoke architecture) that orchestrates data flow between PLM, ERP, IAM, and AI systems internally, and 3PL/supplier systems externally
Develop and maintain event-driven connectors, API routes, and data transformation pipelines that enable upstream and downstream systems including external trading partners to publish and subscribe to product lifecycle and supply chain events
Design and implement partner onboarding patterns that reduce 3PL integration timelines from months to weeks through standardized, reusable connector frameworks and industry-standard protocols (EDI, AS2, API-based interchange)
Build and operate real-time and batch integration pipelines using AWS services (EventBridge, Step Functions, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, SQS/SNS)
Design schema mapping and data transformation logic across heterogeneous enterprise systems.
Troubleshoot complex integration failures spanning multiple system boundaries both internal services and external partner connections applying cross-domain understanding to diagnose root causes in distributed event-driven architectures
Instrument integration pipelines with comprehensive observability (metrics, tracing, alerting) and drive operational excellence through COE/post-mortem processes
Partner with product teams to onboard new internal event producers/consumers, and partner with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to onboard new 3PL and supplier integrations.
