Description

Position Summary

The Aircraft Records Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of the aircraft records system. This position ensures aircraft maintenance records are complete, current, and compliant with FAA regulations, company maintenance programs, and customer or leasing requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality reviews of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work packages to ensure proper sign offs, Required Inspection Items (RIIs), completeness, current forms, and maintenance releases.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and maintain accurate historical records for aircraft, engines, landing gear, and related components.
  • Maintain accurate Airworthiness Directive (AD) compliance records, assembly status, and forecast tracking for airframes, engines, and appliances.
  • Audit aircraft records and maintenance work packages to ensure corrective actions are complete, accurate, and compliant with Federal Aviation Regulations and company manuals.
  • Maintain records and time standards of serialized aircraft parts and inspections in accordance with company maintenance program and FAA requirements.
  • Investigate and document life limited parts history, including traceability to birth records and supporting documentation for use and serviceability.
  • Analyze records processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and record currency.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for the retention, organization, and retrieval of aircraft maintenance records.
  • Process and file maintenance records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide technical support and training related to aircraft records systems and processes.
  • Assist with records research and requests from internal departments, outstations, regulatory agencies, customers, and leasing representatives.
  • Prepare records, reports, and supporting documentation requested by management, FAA representatives, auditors, or leasing companies.
  • Promote and support culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; aviation related education or training preferred.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of aircraft records, maintenance administration, or related aviation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance documentation requirements preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high accountability environment.
  • Stong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient computer, written communication, and basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Primarily an office-based environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to tolerate varying levels of airport, hangar, and workshop noise.
