Job description

Job Summary
This position analyzes, provides specifications for, and writes individual reports for assigned applications. Serves as the primary reporting resource and have responsibility and focus on system support, maintenance, analysis, design, specifications documentation, change control, and versioning of all reporting components used to build and manage and perform multisystem Hospital reporting. Defines report requirements; designs/develops/tests/installs/implements report-based programs; report programming designs; and codes/tests/ debugs/documents system scripts, programs and reports in application, web and database environments. Responsible for validating model system reports and identifying advanced reporting needs with report consumers. Meets with Epic application coordinators and report consumers to understand their reporting needs. May create new reports using a third-party report-writing tool to display Clarity data.
Qualifications
Education
  • Required
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Preferred
    • Associate's degree

Experience:
  • Preferred
    • One year of experience in Epic software/domain/workflow analysis design/HER application
      • Required for clinical applicants
    • One year of experience or knowledge of clinical workflow, practice standards and documentation requirements
    • One year of Epic analyst experience
    • One year of experience in a healthcare setting

Certification/Licensure:
Required
  • Valid Driver's License
    • Required for some positions
  • Epic Certification related to application
    • In order to be adequately prepared and trained to build, test and optimize the Epic system, Shannon requires that Epic certifications be obtained within ninety (90) days of completion of the assigned required training classes. Required certifications must be maintained as assigned
  • Preferred
    • Certification in related clinical field
    • Membership in professional organization
