Job description

Summary: Responsible for the coordination and supervision of comprehensive services to children, youth and families for the MOSAIC Beacon Community Center. Responsible for contact compliance, monitoring, reporting and the resource development of the Beacon Program.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for on-site day-to-day supervision of programs, services, and activities funded directly through the Beacon Program budget.
  • Will supervise the Educational Specialist and will approve the final educational curriculum with the Director Supervisor.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the DYCD work scope and data entry.
  • Will meet with Director Supervisor once a week for supervision.
  • Acts as liaison to school principal, teachers, custodian and other school staff.
  • Supervises and evaluates assigned program staff as per agency policies and conducts appropriate staff conferences and meetings.
  • Responsible for contract compliance and all program monitoring and reporting, fundraising and development.
  • Works with the Director of Operations and Fiscal Officer to insure prompt submission of reports.
  • Provide administrative/logistical support to service integration staff.
  • Supervise, monitor, interview and hire all Beacon staff and consultants.
  • Monitor and supervise collocated and subcontracted services.
  • Recruit volunteers for the Beacon Program.
  • Monthly review of staff individual caseloads and files.
  • Coโ€‘facilitate all of the orientations held here for the Beacon Program.
  • Coโ€‘facilitate weekly staff meetings.
  • Monthly individual meetings with staff.
  • Support in all the fundraising projects of the agency related to the program and youth development.
  • Responsible for monitoring the staff attendance sheet and signing them at the end of the pay period.
  • Monthly participation in the host school cabinet meeting.
  • Submitting weekly reports on a timely basis.
  • Monthly participation at the DYCD Directorโ€™s meeting.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • BA or working toward completion, or AA with comparable experience in the field.
  • Three (3) years supervisory experience working with schoolโ€‘age youth.
  • Must meet mandated SACC license requirement.
  • Good computer, organizational and communication skills.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a fullโ€‘time position. Work hours during school year are Monday to Friday I pm-9pm (will alternate Saturdays with Program Coordinator from 9am to 3pm). Summer work hours, July and August are Monday to Friday flex schedule between 8:00am - 6:00pm.
