Job Purpose

The Sales Engineer at bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and manufacture of advanced power solutions, develop, maintain, and expand key strategic relationships with Military customers and achieve sales target objectives in assigned territory.  This position will build a rapport with current and potential Bren-Tronics customers, government agencies and US Department of Defense Commands while establishing collaborative relationships within industry to achieve sales objectives.  Lead the customer account planning cycle and ensure assigned customer needs and expectations are met by the company. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Exercising discretion and independent
  • Judgement when dealing with critical matters within the organization
  • Train field and  sales representatives/account managers  in solution-selling skills necessary to sell at good profit margins
  • Assist sales and field representatives in bringing a full- sales service package to dealers and end-users
  • Act as liaison between the company and the field representatives as well as facilitate business processes and assist with problem resolution
  • Achieve sales goals
  • Lead in the selling process and identifying customers and sales channel management; profit and loss responsibility that includes forecasting sales, tracking margins and managing costs
  • DSO control
  • This position may have supervisory responsibility
  • Travel could be extensive
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • 5-7 years of extensive and successful sales experience or combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills
  • Superb written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to understand and explain technical electrical systems and material handling
  • Basic math ability; proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Able to write reports, interpret general business periodicals, manuals, and journals
General Job Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
  • Risk of electrical shock.
  • This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
