Program / Account Manager

SmartHire is looking for a Program / Account Manager for a client in Sumner WA. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Program Management/Account Management within Aerospace. Strong technical and customer support skills needed. This is a Full Time, Direct Hire role that is fully onsite.

Location: Sumner WA

Salary: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour. DOE

Position Summary

The Program / Account Manager is responsible for managing assigned aerospace customer accounts and programs, coordinating customer requirements, purchase orders, schedules, pricing, and internal communication. This role serves as a key liaison between customers and internal teams to support on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with applicable quality requirements.

Responsibilities

·Manage assigned customer programs, including schedules, budgets, requirements, and quality expectations.

·Use customer portals and program systems such as MoveIT, cFolders, ESIS, and similar platforms to access requirements and track program information.

·Review and prepare proposals, contracts, and long-term agreements, coordinating with engineering, estimating, production, and customer service to confirm pricing, timing, and requirements.

·Lead program planning, including pricing and cost considerations, lead times, risk identification, status tracking, and customer commitments.

·Monitor On-Time Delivery (OTD), identify potential production bottlenecks, and work with internal teams to meet customer schedules.

·Coordinate vendor lead times with production and customer schedules, evaluating expedited options and cost impacts when necessary.

·Communicate program status, schedule changes, customer requests, and potential roadblocks to customers and internal stakeholders.

·Partner with estimating on RFQs and manage engineering change requests to ensure scope, pricing, schedule, and requirements are documented.

·Manage customer purchase orders, changes, and approvals, ensuring updates are authorized, communicated, and processed accurately.

·Prepare customer reports and trackers, including Open Order Reports (OOR), Work in Process (WIP) Trackers, and Line of Balance (LOB) projects.

·Provide responsive customer support, resolve issues, and participate in customer meetings and conference calls.

·Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications

·5+ years of program management, account management, customer service, or related experience within aerospace manufacturing.

·Proven ability to manage complex projects and customer accounts while meeting schedule and budget expectations.

·Experience with customer portals or program systems such as MoveIT, cFolders, ESIS, or similar platforms.

·Strong knowledge of purchase order processing and change management.

·Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

·Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and communicate proactively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

·Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn ERP, project management, and customer systems.

·U.S. Citizenship required.

·Must be fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

·General knowledge of quality systems, finance, and purchasing.

·Working knowledge of contracts, sales, and terms and conditions.
