Position Title: Post-Production Assistant (NY)

Job Description:
This position involves working with the Head of Finishing (NY) and managing internal and external communications regarding project needs and deadlines. Responsibilities include ensuring the quality of graphics and other deliverables and maintaining the efficiency of the finishing department.
Responsibilities:
  • Respond to clients in a timely manner to confirm the progress of work and share ETAs.
  • Relay client expectations and needs to the ZEALOT graphics and production departments.
  • Review spec sheets for each client and translate them to graphic designers, finishers, and assistant editors.
  • Coordinate finishing needs between the online editors, assistant editors, and graphics teams.
  • QC graphic renders for accuracy, spelling, specs, and creative intent.
  • QC picture and audio preps intended for out-of-house finishing.
  • QC final exports for delivery.
  • Organize deliverables per client request and upload to web portal: Box, aspera, Signiant, etc.
  • Organize finishes for archives
  • ZEALOT is bi-coastal with offices in NY and LA. You will be aware of the location time difference and manage transition of work at the beginning and end of day.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • A working knowledge of Adobe Premiere is essential.
  • Experience with After Effects and Resolve is beneficial but not essential.
  • One to two years of experience in a production or post-production setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Additional Information:
  • This position reports to the Head of Finishing.
  • You must be able to make a daily commute 3 x per week to the LA office.
  • Regular business hours are Mon-Fri 10am to 7pm.
  • The position is non-exempt (hourly) and annualized pay range is $60k -$62,400. This is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Actual offers may vary based on work experience.

  • Position may require the ability to work evenings, and occasionally weekends and holidays.
