Help local businesses to utilize radio advertising in the marketing of their products and services.  You would meet with local businesses owners and managers at their business to learn about their goals and challenges.  You would then craft and present an advertising campaign consisting of a broadcast schedule and the ads to help our clients reach their goals. This is just the beginning.  On a regular basis  you will meet with our clients in person and through phone calls, emails and text messages to keep their campaign on track.   We build long term relationships with our clients. Our stations  WSMI, WSMI-FM and WAOX are located in Illinois.  It’s the perfect time to join our staff.  Whether you're experienced or new to advertising we have a place for the right person on our team right now.  We offer advertising training with an international broadcast trainer, a Simple IRA with company match, vacation and sick days, major holidays off, and performance based compensation starting at $50,000 for this position.   Sorry no major medical insurance.  Talley Broadcasting Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.

As an Account Executive at Talley Broadcasting you will:

Call on prospects and present various programs and concepts.

Persuade prospects to purchase radio time and present company initiatives that will draw customers to their businesses.

Achieve performance goals.

Develop and maintain relationships with clients and provide quality customer service.

Communicate with other departments to assure execution of client agreements.

Collect timely payments from customers.

Attend weekly advertising staff meetings, training sessions and radio station sponsored customer events.

Qualifications:

Minimum of high school diploma; one- year related experience and/or training.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts for customer purchase transactions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.

Computer literate; familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)

Ability to travel to local customer locations with reliable transportation.

Valid driver's license and state mandated automobile insurance.

Live within a 25-mile radius of the stations.
