At LACO Technologies, you'll work in our metal fabrication shop supporting the production of stainless-steel components used in advanced vacuum and leak testing systems for some of the most innovative companies in the world - including customers like SpaceX, NASA, Apple, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman.
This is an entry-level fabrication role, ideal for candidates with metal shop experience, fabrication training, or welding school
who want to gain hands-on experience in a modern manufacturing environment.
While welding experience is a plus, this role primarily focuses on metal fabrication, finishing, and shop support rather than production welding.

  • Clean, organized manufacturing and fabrication shop
  • Stable company with 50+ years of innovation

  • Support fabrication and welding operations in the metal shop
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as band saws, metal rollers, grinders, and polishing tools
  • Assist with finishing and preparation of fabricated parts
  • Read and interpret basic fabrication drawings and weld prints
  • Support fabrication workflow and shop organization
  • Maintain safe work practices and clean work areas
  • Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as needed

What Sets You Apart
  • 1-2 years of metal shop, fabrication, or manufacturing experience
  • Comfortable using hand tools and fabrication equipment
  • Strong reliability and work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong focus on safety and quality
  • Interest in learning fabrication and manufacturing skills

Bonus Experience (Nice to Have):
  • Welding school or welding training
  • TIG or MIG welding exposure
  • Experience with fabrication equipment
  • Mechanical or manufacturing background

This role is designed as a starting point for a fabrication career.
Employees in this position can grow into roles such as:

Compensation & Benefits That Support You
  • $19.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience
  • Overtime opportunities
  • 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
  • Three weeks PTO starting your first year
  • Paid holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
