Duties
The Office of Undergraduate Admission at the State University of New York at New Paltz seeks candidates for the position of First-Year Admission Advisor who will report to the Director of Undergraduate Admission.
Responsibilities of the position include:
  • Recruitment Travel - travel will include but not be limited to New York City (Queens, Bronx, New York, Kings, and Richmond Counties)
  • Application Reading and decision making
  • College transcript, AP and IB credit evaluations
  • High School Transcript finalizations
  • General Information Session Presentations
  • Communicate with prospective students and their families
  • Participate in Undergraduate Admission events - i.e. Open House and Accepted Student's Days, Weekend General Information Sessions
  • General office duties

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work evenings and some weekends
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred:
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of applicable job experience in university admissions
