Job description

Summary:
Administrative Assistant in support of Lower Tier Project Office (LTPO) in Huntsville, AL. Primary weapon system is Patriot.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine administrative duties such as answering telephone, greeting visitors, directing correspondence to appropriate office/section/person.
  • Prepares general correspondence in military style and format
  • Prepares Power Point slide presentations
  • Prepares conference room for meetings, production and distribution of meeting materials and takes notes during meetings
  • Maintains tasking suspense file and follows up to ensure taskings are completed and sent to requesting official
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in administrative procedures and practices necessary for doing business with and within DoD agencies.
  • Demonstrates capability to oversee a group of assistants performing administrative functions.
  • Knowledge of military customs and courtesies
  • Knowledge of Army Correspondence Style Manual

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma but college degree (Associates or Bachelors) preferred
  • 5 years' experience working in as an Administrative Assistant
  • All Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Experience using MS Projects, Primavera and Visio preferred
