DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

As a member of the IT Operations team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the organization's operating systems (Windows and Linux) both on-premise as well as in AWS and Azure cloud and all related systems or software. You will analyze and resolve problems associated with server hardware/software and applications software ensuring scalability and appropriate integration with other systems. You will detect, diagnose, and report problems on server systems and proactively plan maintenance to ensure systems optimal performance by making recommendations for system upgrades and replacements as it relates to system life cycle. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, develop, and maintain systems that enhance our organization's efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Your insights and technical expertise will help drive our technology initiatives, making a significant contribution to our continued success.

Training, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Education and Experience:
    • BS in Computer Science or similar degree, or equivalent technical certifications.
    • 1+ years of experience in server, desktop, technical support, and system administration in both on-premise and cloud environments.
    • High computer literacy, fluent with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy best practices and compliance frameworks.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in a cloud environment.
  • Technical Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, including servers, networks, and cloud platforms.
    • Experience maintaining systems for 24/7 availability.
    • Proficiency in configuring, maintaining, and testing systems.
    • Experience with Powershell, Python, Bash, and other scripting languages.
    • Expertise in Azure and AWS administration, including hybrid environments.
    • In-depth understanding of VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, and AWS services, with hands-on experience in VMWare VCenter, System Center Virtual Machine Manager, AWS Management Console, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Identity, and Azure Governance.
