Job description

Freedom is proud to be one of the largest, privately held direct mail service providers in the United States. We are a family-owned business entering our 40th year in operation and are excited to expand our national footprint. We are recruiting a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to join our talented team of high-impact employees in our Milton, WI production facility. The Lettershop is where we insert printed material into envelopes and get them ready to mail.  The Lettershop Shift Supervisor oversees all aspects of the Lettershop including production, personnel, and equipment.  This position requires the ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required.


In this role you will:

  • Assist in the training of new employees
  • Set schedules for employees and make machine assignments
  • Confirm that equipment is set up in accordance with job specifications
  • In conjunction with Quality Assurance, ensure that high quality standards are maintained through all phases of production
  • Ensure that production standards are met, evaluate hourly machine counts and make adjustments to improve productivity
  • Complete and deliver employee performance evaluations on company schedule
  • Provide day to day supervision and coaching as required, including working with HR to develop and deliver employee improvement plans and disciplinary actions
  • Complete special projects as requested by Plant Manager
  • Ensure that all Freedom policies are followed, including those addressing employee health and safety
  • Delegate tasks to Shift Leads, as appropriate

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred but not required
  • Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF writeable software
  • Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to adjust quickly, in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be focused on teamwork and be able to help resolve conflict and de-escalate tense situations
