What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Addie Instructional Designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Addie Instructional Designer, you need expertise in instructional design principles, curriculum development, and adult learning theory, typically supported by a degree in education or instructional design. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate, and ADDIE model methodology is essential. Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills help you effectively gather requirements and work with subject matter experts. These skills are crucial for designing effective, engaging learning experiences that meet organizational goals.

What is an Addie in the workplace?

ADDIE stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. It is not a job title, but rather a framework commonly used in instructional design and training development. The model helps ensure learning experiences are well-structured and meet organizational or learner goals.
