We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Supervisor to join a leading Company located in the Richmond, VA surrounding area.

Salary: $80K - $90K

The Talent Acquisition Supervisor is responsible for leading the full-cycle recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes while developing and maintaining talent pipelines to support current and future workforce needs. This role partners closely with shop leadership and hiring managers to attract, identify, and hire high-quality candidates who align with values, culture, and business objectives. This role serves as a key ambassador for the company within the community, building relationships through networking events, community partnerships, workforce development initiatives, and other outreach activities that strengthen the company's employer brand. The Talent Acquisition Supervisor helps ensure the company attracts, hires, and retains exceptional talent to support long-term business growth and operational success.

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Develop and manage a multi-channel recruiting process to fill the pipeline with high-quality candidates including, but not limited to active applicants, passive candidates, employee referrals, social networking, community college networking, placement programs, job fairs, etc.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting activities for hourly and salaried positions.
  • Partner with the planning department and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Manage job requisitions for compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage applicant tracking systems and maintain accurate recruiting records and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines to support future hiring needs and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks, employment verifications, and offer administration.
  • Present employment offers and negotiate within established guidelines.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and recommend process improvements.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate hiring manager interviews.
  • Ability to assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and culture fit without bias.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and hiring timelines.
  • Support hiring managers in preparing interview questions and understanding structured interview practices.
  • Ensure a positive, professional, and timely experience for all candidates.
  • Support employer branding initiatives by contributing content, sharing success stories, and promoting events.
  • Knowledge of all policies and procedures as it relates to the company attendance and benefits policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely correspondence regarding offers of employment.
  • Collaborate with key personnel to support various aspects of Recruiting and Onboarding.
  • Builds and fosters relationships with Hiring Managers, team members, and candidates to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
  • Manage the full internal job posting process, including creating job descriptions, postings, interviews etc.
  • Manage onsite recruiting agencies and ensure they are aligned with values.
  • Actively participate in the development, monitoring, and improvement in the experiences of candidates, managers, and associates in our hiring process.
  • Ability to take on other duties as department needs or department structure changes.
  • Maintain and enhance expertise by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Supervise and support talent acquisition activities and up to two team members as assigned.

  • Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.

Basic Hiring Criteria:  
  • Minimum of 4+ years of talent acquisition, recruiting, or human resources experience.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, or industrial environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems; familiarity with UKG and Kronos is a plus.
  • Understanding of basic employment law, EEO compliance, and onboarding requirements.
  • Ability to travel locally to attend recruiting events, job fairs, and community activities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Self-motivated and able to analyze and prioritize workload.
  • This is an in-person position with no future plans of transitioning to a remote position.
