We specialize in partnering with Home Builders as well as retail production. FCM funded $2.6 Billion in 2024 through affiliated business arrangements with 10 different home builders, 5 of which rank in the Top 65 Home Builders in the country.

FCM is currently seeking a Accounts Payable & Treasury Manager in Houston, Texas or Charlotte, NC.ย This role will report to the Controller.ย 

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable & Treasury Manager is responsible for leading the Company's accounts payable function and managing daily treasury operations, and cash activities. This role ensures timely and accurate payment processing, strong internal controls, and compliance with Company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Management

ยท Lead and manage the end-to-end accounts payable process across multiple entities.

ยท Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, check requests, and payment requests.

ยท Manage check runs, ACH payments, wire transfers, and other disbursement activities in accordance with established approval limits.

ยท Maintain vendor master records, including vendor onboarding, tax documentation, payment information, and change controls.

ยท Resolve vendor inquiries, invoice exceptions, and payment discrepancies promptly and professionally.

ยท Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure obligations are paid according to approved terms.

ยท Develop, document, and maintain accounts payable policies, procedures, and internal controls.

ยท Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and expand process automation.

ยท Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.

Treasury Management

ยท Oversee daily cash management activities.

ยท Prepare and review daily cash position reports.

ยท Serve as the primary operational contact for treasury matters.

ยท Initiate, review, and approve wire transfers, ACH transactions, and other cash movements within assigned authority.

ยท Coordinate daily and weekly cash sweeps among operating, payroll, escrow, restricted, and other designated accounts.

ยท Assist with opening, closing, and maintaining bank accounts, authorized signers, and treasury documentation.

ยท Administer fraud-prevention controls, including Positive Pay and banking security procedures.

Leadership, Controls & Operational Excellence

ยท Build, mentor, and develop the AP team while establishing clear expectations, coverage, and documented procedures.

ยท Collaborate with the Controller and cross-functional partners on process improvements, system implementations, and automation initiatives.

ยท Ensure adherence to GAAP, Company policies, delegated authority, and applicable regulatory requirements.

ยท Maintain current process documentation, controls, approval matrices, and backup coverage for critical activities.

ยท Support internal and external audits by providing organized documentation, reconciliations, and analysis.

ยท Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by the Controller.

Qualifications

Required

ยท Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

ยท Five or more years of progressive accounting, accounts payable, or treasury experience.

ยท Three or more years of experience leading accounts payable or related accounting functions.

ยท Strong knowledge of accounts payable controls, cash management, and treasury processes.

ยท Experience with banking platforms, electronic payments, wire transfers, and cash management tools.

ยท Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting or enterprise resource planning systems.

ยท Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
