Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time temp with the opportunity for a full-time Accounts Payable Assistant to support the Accounts Payable Analyst with day-to-day financial operations. This role is responsible for assisting with invoice processing, check preparation, vendor communication, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with accounting systems and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with processing vendor invoices and ensuring proper documentation and approvals
  • Help prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
  • Maintain organized accounts payable files and records
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status
  • Reconcile vendor statements and identify discrepancies
  • Enter and update data in accounting software
  • Support the AP Analyst and Finance Department with additional administrative tasks
  • Responsible for approving timecards and reviewing PTO balances, including confirming supervisor approval for any usage that extends beyond a negative balance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; coursework in accounting or finance preferred
  • Previous office or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounts payable and accounting procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
  • Good communication and time-management skills
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus

Monday - Friday 10:00AM - 2:00PM
