The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Accountant. This job is full-time permanent.

Overview: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, your role will consist of recording and monitoring financial accounting transactions while supporting the corporate accounting function.

Your challenges:  

  • Prepare accounting entries
  • Perform month-end closing processes, including:
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Month-end reporting
  • Analyze various balance sheet accounts
  • Support analysis of financing expenses as well as environmental and legal provisions
  • Participate in meetings with other departments to discuss and follow up on issues identified through reconciliations and analyses
  • Contribute to quarterly forecasts and annual budget preparation
  • Assist in year-end tax forms and financial reporting preparation

Your skills: 

  • Strong interest in learning and acquiring new skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive, with a collaborative team-oriented approach

Your profile:   

  • Bilingual French and English (Required for all Corporate Positions)*
  • University degree in Accounting (completed or in progress)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Professional designation (CPA) is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of GAAP and SAP (FI/CO) is considered an asset
