Job Description:

Industrial Equipment & Automation is part of ITW’s North American Welding Industrial Platform with multiple locations within Appleton, WI and Carol Stream, IL, and annual revenue exceeding $340M.  This position will have direct responsibility for managing the overall accounting functions and financial reporting for the Division.  In addition, this position will partner with the Division Controller in various financial projects including Annual & Long-Range Plan, analyzing strategies, and analysis of key business metrics that drive management decisions.

What you will do and impact:

Accounting Management, Analysis and Reporting:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing process, account reconciliations, and prepare annual tax reporting.
  • Prepare accurate management reporting and communicate the results effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Leverage available tools and technologies to analyze data to support process improvements and operational decisions.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Assist employees in understanding how decisions impact financials, identify and communicate key business drivers, and provide training to enhance overall financial awareness.
  • Work with department managers to understand departmental expenses, create outlook and planned departmental expenses, and segment P/Ls.
  • Partner with the Division Controller in planning, assigning, and directing work in the department including projects in sourcing savings, working capital management and employee involvement.
  • Lead and develop the accounting team by providing guidance, training, and feedback.

Cross Functional Collaboration:

  • Apply 80/20 thinking to reduce complexity and simplify processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects within and outside the Division.
