General Description:
Phillips & Cohen Associates, LLC., the global leader in estate account management with operations in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, seeks a qualified Junior Accountant. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for completing bank reconciliations, recording accounts receivable and accounts payable entries, assist with month end close process and the daily client remittance process. The successful candidate will also collect pertinent information for third party audits, contribute to financial reporting and operations and support the department's daily responsibilities. This is an entry level position.
Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily.
  • Review and post bills into NetSuite.
  • Review and post sales invoices into NetSuite.
  • Post sales receipts and bill payments into NetSuite.
  • Assist with the month end closing process.
  • Process daily client remittances.
  • Summarize transaction details and journalizes data to general ledger.
  • Reconcile and agree balance sheet accounts.
  • Meeting the goals and objectives as set out by Management.

Desired Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Use and knowledge of accounting software a plus
  • Must be able to focus on key tasks, prioritize duties, and manage multiple tasks and priorities. Practiced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Multi-lingual fluency a plus.
