Job description

Accountants One is partnering with a stable, repeat client in the manufacturing industry that is looking to hire a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant is responsible for reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role supports day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and various general accounting functions as needed.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support all U.S. entities as required.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries and perform accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate financial close processes.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly and as needed.
  • Prepare and submit internal and external reporting packages, including local reporting, parent company reporting, and bank reporting.
  • Manage and coordinate “Flying Cash” functionality, including oversight and reconciliation of bank transitory accounts.
  • Analyze general ledger activity and prepare adjusting entries to ensure accurate intercompany balances.
  • Manage and coordinate the Duty Drawback program with internal and external partners.
  • Assist with special projects as requested by management.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist with general accounting functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable activities as needed.
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a must.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting standards.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with SAP Ledger required.
