Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Driving improvement and changes to the business
  • Processing monthly and year-end closings
  • Producing financial statements
  • Recommending business process improvements based on reviewed performance
  • Bank reconciliations
  • General ledger entries
  • Product Costing via Bill of Materials
  • Account reconciliations
  • Supporting general accounting duties for the manufacturer
  • Materials division.
  • Compiling reports (as required by management)
  • Analysis of the financials
  • Driving increased information flow with real time reporting implementation
  • Working closely with all levels of management
    • employees,
    • internal customers,
    • external auditors
  • Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Essential Duties:
  • Managing the manufacturing site accounting and reviewing performance monthly and communicating as need
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Managing standard costing and inventory values
  • Creating checks and balances for operational and data integrity
  • Preparing and reconciling journal entries, account reconciliations and accruals monthly
  • Handling inventory reconciliation
    • Entering daily builds
    • Inventory variations / adjustments
  • Receivable processing and follow up
  • Participating in the development of financial strategies as part of the Accounting Team

Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Accounting Required.
  • 2+ years of cost accounting experience preferred
  • Manufacturing background preferred
  • CPA certification preferred
  • QuickBooks experience a plus short term
  • D365 or other ERP experience preferred
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Must be able to work strategically, and collaboratively across departments
  • Must be effective, versatile and action-oriented and have exceptional communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Working Conditions:
  • Office environment within the manufacturing plant.
  • Full-time, in-office position with occasional overtime as needed.
