What You'll Do
  • Review and interpret construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.
  • Perform detailed material take-offs using both manual and digital methods, ensuring all quantities are accurately measured and recorded
  • Prepare comprehensive take-off quantities and estimates for materials, and production requirements, ensuring all calculations are precise and well-documented.
  • Collaborate with other project managers and other internal teams to clarify project details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure estimates align with project goals and delivery timelines
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, supporting documents, and correspondence related to each project
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options to optimize project budgets
  • Update estimates as scope or specifications change, communicating adjustments promptly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation and submission of bids and proposals as required.

What You'll Need
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes for custom products.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating software (e.g., Excel, SalesForce, On Screen Takeoff) is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordination with project managers, and team members
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work under deadlines.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
