Job description

Summary

A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Account Project Manager to oversee commercial HVAC and tenant improvement projects while managing long-term client relationships across the Bay Area.

This role combines project management and account management responsibilities, working closely with existing service clients, property managers, contractors, and internal operations teams. The position is ideal for someone who understands commercial mechanical construction and already has established industry relationships that can help generate repeat business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial HVAC and tenant improvement projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, property managers, and industry partners
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and field activities
  • Review project drawings, scopes, and specifications
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Work closely with service and operations teams to support project delivery
  • Track job costs, project budgets, and financial performance
  • Prepare proposals, assist with bids, and follow up on opportunities with existing clients
  • Support repeat business through relationship management and client communication
  • Coordinate closely with leadership, preconstruction, and field teams

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management
  • Strong background in commercial HVAC and tenant improvement projects
  • Existing relationships with property managers, contractors, or service clients preferred
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, and subcontractors
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and commercial construction workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining client relationships
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
