Job description

This is a tactical and product centric role that focuses on the development of effective merchandising programs, the creation and management of projects and the conversion of leads into sales. Aligned with the Account Executive in a team selling environment, this is a highly proactive site-level focused position that seeks to achieve 100% wallet share by leveraging the existing corporate agreement to maximize site level participation. This role drives daily sales of customer programs and products by contacting sites using phone and email to generate and close leads.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drives growth of existing customers
  • Manages site level sales strategy
  • Uses AE territory growth plan to develop and execute site/regional solutions
  • Drives execution / compliance of corporate customers at site level
  • With AE collaboration -development, creation and execution of site-level merchandising and equipment program (multiple site rollouts)
  • Merchandising program design
  • Extensive product knowledge
  • Visual merchandising expertise
  • Project creation (one large site)
  • Quoting, customer communication, substitutes, alternative recommendations
  • Daily entering, updating, managing, and documenting activity and winning opportunities in Salesforce
  • Participate and support with business reviews as requested
  • Execution of sales campaigns and account-based marketing activities
  • Proactive Lead Generation: KPI driven outbound pro-active touches each day in the following areas: marketing campaigns, product promotions, order follow-up, lead generation emails, key customer programs promotion (food waste, employee safety, labor shortage solutions)
  • Lead and quote conversion
  • First point of contact for all customer-initiated sales inquires
  • Executes the account growth plan as outlined by the Account Executive
  • New order guide development
  • Creates and delivers effective sales presentations.

Not within the scope of this position:

  • Presenting internally to executives
  • Building IMPAX based business reviews that define and quantify our value add to the client
  • Project execution (customer service)
  • Contract and pricing negotiation setup
  • Development of customer/account growth plans
  • Internal reportage of account performance
  • Day to day customer service: returns, credit

Needed to be successful:

  • Minimum 1 year in an inside sales environment
  • Proficient in the use of Salesforce required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated track record of proactive sales success generating and closing leads
  • Skilled at discovery, qualification and closing of leads
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment where priorities change quickly.
