About Us

Nuwellis is a Minnesota-based medical device company dedicated to improving patients’ lives through innovative fluid management solutions. Our clinical and sales teams partner with hospitals and clinics nationwide to support adoption of Aquadex SmartFlow therapy.


We are seeking a Full-Time Account Manager for Medical Device Sales to drive growth in the assigned territory. This opportunity is specifically for candidates located in/near Columbus, Ohio with the ability to commute to additional parts of the territory includes: all of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive business growth by increasing the prescriber base and expanding into new therapeutic areas and modalities.
  • Utilize value-based selling messaging to achieve sales revenue targets.
  • Develop physician and prescribing clinician understanding of all relevant clinical data.
  • Identify potential patients for our products in alignment with Healthcare Provider (HCP) needs.
  • Conduct business reviews and engaging product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our offerings.
  • Lead and collaborate effectively with Clinical Education Specialists, providing direction, support and adapting to changes on the fly.
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (business or scientific discipline preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical device sales, medical device market development; preferably with cardiology, cardiac surgery and/or structural heart and/or ventricular assist device (VAD) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a territory-based role.
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.
  • Possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving record.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Understand and demonstrate proficiency in core technologies and sales tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to discuss patient pathophysiology across multiple clinical areas, including Heart Failure, Transplant, Cardiac Surgery, Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), Critical Care, Trauma, Renal, Burn, Interventional Cardiology, Pediatrics, CRRT, ECMO, Liver Failure, Sepsis, and Vascular Access, and to engage in clinical discussions with healthcare professionals in these specialties.


WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

  • The Account Manager is expected to maintain regular physical presence at customer sites.
  • 50-70% travel required within the assigned territory. Travel involves regular daily driving commutes to and from customer sites as well as occasional domestic air travel and some overnights.


Compensation & Benefits

  • We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
  • $100,000 base salary + UNCAPPED commission
  • Quarterly commission payouts
