Job description

The Business Development Executive is the primary commercial leader foracquiring, growing, andretainingstrategic customers within assigned accounts, regions, and industry verticals for Allied Reliability. This role is accountable for a balanced mix of new customer acquisition and expansion, renewal, and retention of existing strategic accounts across Condition Monitoring, Consulting & Training ReliabilityServicesand related offerings. The Business Development Executive works independently and with Allied Reliability's operations, marketing, and delivery teams to create differentiated solutions, prepare and deliver compelling proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and meet or exceed assigned revenue, margin, and account growthobjectives. The Business Development Executive is expected tomaintaina healthy mix of field-based customer engagement, strategic account planning, and disciplined pipeline management to support sustainable growth.

This role is fully remote and can be done anywhere in the U.S.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for both existing key accounts and target prospects, including revenue, margin, share-of-wallet, and retentionobjectivesby industry vertical and geography.

  • Present and sell company products, solutions, and services to current and potential clients through in-person meetings, video conferences, phone calls, and industry events.

  • Prepare action plans and schedules toidentifytarget account needs, decision makers, buying processes, and near-term opportunities.

  • Proactively generate and qualify new-logo opportunities on an ongoing basis while alsoidentifyingcross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Identifyand prioritize sales prospects, build multi-threaded relationships, and advance opportunities through the full sales cycle using a defined, repeatable sales process.

  • Prepare clear, commercially sound proposals for products and service offerings, including scopes of work, pricing, assumptions, and value-based justifications.

  • Develop and deliver persuasive client presentations that articulate Allied Reliability's value proposition, technical capabilities, and business outcomes.

  • Establish, nurture, and grow executive-level and operational relationships at plant and corporate levels, positioning Allied Reliability as a trusted advisor in Maintenance and Reliability.

  • Build andmaintainmulti-level relationships within existing accounts to strengthen loyalty, uncover new needs, and support renewals and multi-site growth opportunities.

  • Partner with Operations and technical subject matter experts to shape solutions, estimate effort, and ensure proposals are deliverable, profitable, and aligned with customer expectations.

  • Participate in the development of white papers, case studies, conference presentations, and published articles to build personal and organizational credibility in reliability and condition monitoring.

  • Activelyparticipatein Maintenance and Reliability professional organizations, such as SMRP, IMA, PEMAC, GFMAM, and similar groups, to support market visibility and professional development.

  • Participate in the resolution of client concerns by coordinating with assigned operations management and other internal stakeholders to drivetimely, satisfactory outcomes.

  • Conduct regular account reviews with customers and internal stakeholders tomonitorperformance,identifyexpansion opportunities, and address issues before they affect satisfaction or renewal.

  • Prepare andsubmitweekly, quarterly, and annual status reports, including pipeline health, activity levels, forecast quality, wins and losses, follow-up actions, and progress against goals.

  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, competitive activity, and market intelligence toappropriate companystaff to inform portfolio and go-to-market strategies.

  • Maintainaccurateandtimelystatus information on all client interactions, opportunities, and forecasts within Allied Reliability's CRM system, with updates completed at least weekly.

  • Work directly with Marketing to ensure messaging, campaigns, and sales materials align with market needs and the Reliability Solutions value proposition.

  • Support Operations in billable or pre-sales technical assignments as needed to strengthen customer confidence and opportunity conversion.

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders, to ensure customer satisfaction and effective transition from sale to delivery.

  • Model professional, ethical, and compliant sales behavior in all customer and internal interactions.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrates recognized domain credibility across the Maintenance and Reliability space.

Qualifications /Competencies /Position Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Self-motivated and professionally driven, with a balanced hunter-farmer mindset suited to both new business development and account growth.

  • Demonstrated sales skills, including consultative discovery, opportunity qualification, negotiation, technical competency, and deal-closing capability.

  • Exposure toformal sales training or structured salesmethodologypreferred.

  • Excellent verbal, written, video conferencing, and telephone communication skills, supported by strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team structure.

  • Strong comfort level presenting to groups, including plant leadership, technical stakeholders, and corporate decision makers.

  • Ability to fully manage a sales cycle frominitialprospecting through closing and handoff to delivery.

  • Proven record of achieving sales targets, including revenue, margin, product and services mix, deal size, and contract duration.

  • Demonstrated career progression with increasing levels of responsibility preferred.

  • Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and customer priorities concurrently.

  • Knowledge ofindustrialand manufacturing sectorsrequired.

  • Proficiencywith CRM systems and standard business productivity tools preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but notrequired.

  • 7-10 years of business development, industrial sales, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in solution and service selling, preferably within industrial, technical, or reliability-related environments.

  • Experience interfacing with engineers and plant- and corporate-level decision makers.
