Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. The Point of Sale (POS) System Support Intern will work onsite between 20-25 hours per week Monday to Friday in our Flushing, Queens office. Lunch and transportation allowance are provided.
Role Summary: The Technical Support Intern provides strong backup to the uServe System team, to ensure smooth daily operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Understand the basic characteristics of various credit card processing devices to help maintain and improve inventory management
  • Become familiar with various device-related CRM systems and handle some simple device deployment requests
  • Develop strong communication, analytical, and attention to detail skills
  • Proofread, translate, and adapt client-owned materials onto POS software for various business owners
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to terminal hardware.
  • Assist the uServe team with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E-Verify employer!
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin-Chinese is required, including reading and writing. This is especially important as you will be translating between both languages.
  • Analytical mindset and comfort working with complex systems
  • Ability to work in fast-paced technical environments
  • Currently in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor's or Master's program for Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Interest in troubleshooting and problem solving; prior experience with solving technical inquiries is a plus
