Job description

About the Role
We're seeking a Designer to join Abnormal AI's Creative Services team. As a member of the in-house studio, you'll play a key role in bringing our visual identity to life across a wide range of touchpoints, including campaigns and digital surfaces to social, events, and brand content.
This is a hands-on execution role for a designer who is comfortable working across a broad spectrum of asset types and moving fluidly between projects. You care deeply about craft and quality, you're comfortable taking direction and running with it, and you thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. You bring a genuine curiosity for how AI tools can accelerate and elevate your creative process.
What You Will Do
  • Produce high-quality design assets across brand touchpoints, including web, campaigns, social, events, and print.
  • Execute creative across a variety of formats and asset types, working from briefs, established design systems, and creative direction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, content, and web partners to deliver cohesive, on-brand creative.
  • Contribute to web-forward creative execution across digital surfaces and campaigns, demonstrating fluency in how design systems translate to the web.
  • Actively integrate AI tools into your creative workflow, using them to accelerate production, explore options, and push the work further.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all deliverables, ensuring work aligns with Abnormal AI's visual identity standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and communicating proactively on timelines and capacity.
Must Haves
  • 3-5 years of relevant design experience, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency backgrounds.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong craft across digital, brand, and campaign work, with clear evidence of web capability.
  • Comfortable executing across a wide variety of asset types and moving fluidly between campaign, digital, brand, and web work.
  • Web fluency: not necessarily a UI/UX specialist, but comfortable with web-forward creative execution and able to show strong web work in your portfolio.
  • Actively uses AI tools as part of your creative practice, spanning ideation, production, and workflow. You bring genuine curiosity and a point of view on how AI can make your work better and faster.
  • Strong foundational design skills: typography, color, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and similar design tools.
  • Comfortable working from briefs and creative direction, with an ability to interpret ambiguity and ask the right clarifying questions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects without dropping the ball.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach. You work well with others, take feedback graciously, and care about the team's output as much as your own.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience working on AI, cybersecurity, or highly technical brands.
  • Motion design skills or experience collaborating with animation teams.
  • Familiarity with production workflows for video or experiential design.
