Mission-driven opportunity focusing on communication, language, and social learning within a private program for neurodiverse children. On-site in San Antonio, Texas.

About ExcelPrep

ExcelPrep is a mission-driven private program serving neurodiverse children through structured, research-based instruction. Our mission is simple: improve the academic and social success of neurodiverse learners. We deliver high-quality academic and therapeutic programming that supports meaningful learning outcomes.

ExcelPrep offers two distinct programs for learners ages 3-13:

  • PreK-8 Academic Program: Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching for core academics (reading, writing, math) in a structured, data-driven environment.

  • Clinical ABA Program (Ages 3-13): Cognition-linguistically based ABA focusing on language, reasoning, executive functioning, social competence, and independence.

Across ExcelPrep, we center:

  • Direct Instruction and instructional design

  • Precision Teaching and data-based decision making

  • Behavior science research foundations

  • Occupational Therapy as a prioritized therapy alongside ABA for sensory-motor development

Our mission is to provide a nurturing, academically focused learning environment where neurodiverse students develop strong academic foundations, cognitive-linguistic skills, and the confidence to succeed in school and beyond.

The Role: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

We're seeking a dedicated, collaborative SLP to provide high-quality speech-language therapy in a school-based setting. You will work closely with ABA therapists, OTs, teachers, and program leaders to support communication development, social communication, and language skills that enable meaningful learning.

Key focus areas:

  • Deliver individualized and group SLP services to neurodiverse children within ExcelPrep programs

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments; develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans

  • Support articulation/phonology, language comprehension and expression, pragmatics, voice, fluency, and AAC

  • Collaborate with families, educators, and ABA/OT staff; participate in progress reports and IEP/504 processes (as applicable)

  • Data-driven progress monitoring; adjust interventions based on data; contribute to measurable outcomes

  • Provide coaching and resources to staff on strategies to support communication in the classroom and home environments

Responsibilities

  • Administer formal and informal speech-language evaluations; develop individualized treatment plans

  • Provide direct therapy (individual and small-group) and consultative services; tailor activities for neurodiverse learners

  • Align SLP goals with ExcelPrep's Direct Instruction, Precision Teaching, and ABA goals

  • Track progress with data collection; analyze and report outcomes; maintain thorough documentation

  • Support AAC implementation and use across settings; train families and staff on AAC systems

  • Collaborate with families and school teams to design accessible, inclusive learning environments

  • Participate in IEP/504 planning meetings and professional development opportunities

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and school policies

Qualifications

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas; CCC-SLP preferred (CFY accepted)

  • Pediatric experience, preferably with neurodiverse populations

  • Knowledge of AAC, articulation/phonology, language development, pragmatics, voice, and fluency

  • Familiarity with data-driven decision making and progress reporting

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with families, teachers, and ABA/OT staff

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) or experience serving Spanish-speaking families is a plus

  • Commitment to ExcelPrep's mission and a passion for meaningful learning outcomes

Schedule, Location, and Benefits

  • Location: San Antonio, TX

  • Schedule: Full-time; typical school-day hours with potential for after-hours collaboration or planning

  • On-site role with opportunities for cross-campus collaboration as applicable

  • Benefits: Competitive compensation; comprehensive benefits package; professional development opportunities; supportive, mission-driven culture

Note: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
