Job description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in their educational journey. This position splits time across two campuses-one focused on specialized education needs, the other emphasizing social engagement and behavioral development. With a robust team structure, you'll have plenty of resources, including access to monthly virtual SLP team meetings as well as in-person help from special education, paraeducator, and assistant staff.
In this role you will deliver life skills programming for a caseload of approximately 33 students. An ideal background includes experience in feeding/swallowing (safe eating practices) and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active state SLP license
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
  • Experience with feeding and swallowing safety
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing AAC strategies
  • Previous work in a school setting preferred
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct SLP services to students in life skills programming
  • Split weekly schedule between two campuses, adapting to diverse learning environments
  • Support high school students with behavioral needs (with on-site and remote SLP support)
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate closely with special education teams, paraeducators, and assistants
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation
