Job description

This position will be responsible for the updating and designing of a customer website using .Net and ensuring 508 compliance for the website.
• Monitor website for Section 508 compliance and ensure website development meets customer requirements.
• Perform review of abstracts, agenda, and other documentation generated by website to ensure 508 compliance.
• Code, test, debug, implement, document, and develop programs using ASP .NET as necessary to test and ensure project website meets customer requirements.
• Research & analyze information to determine, recommend and plan implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
• Provide assistance to team involving web applications and databases and assist with the development of J2EE applications as necessary.
• Develop software system testing and validation procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics tasks for website and system equipment and provide risk mitigation plans for technical implementation activities.
• Prepare and document website support and escalation procedures for technical issues related to website operations/functionality.
• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware, software, and the website as necessary.
• Develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.
• Keep abreast of emerging software development and inform management of trends and impact.
• Participate in functional requirements and design document and other system life-cycle documentation to meet SDLC and CMMI requirements.
• Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
• Gather information from existing systems and analyze program and time requirements.
• Work with client and management to resolve issues and validate website programming requirements.
• Provide technical advice on complex programming.
• Communicate verbally and in writing functional requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences to facilitate the development of solutions.
• Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks. Supporting project personnel in resolving fairly complex program problems.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Skills:
Incumbent must possess a minimum of 2 years' experience with ASP .NET technologies and should be familiar with 508 compliance requirements
