Job description

This per diem position offers an opportunity to provide critical pharmacy coverage in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) pharmacy operating a 340B program. Timely and reliable coverage is essential to avoid pharmacy closure during scheduled shifts.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening and closing retail pharmacy operations efficiently and accurately
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure exceptional workflow and compliance
  • Dispensing medications and counseling patients on prescription and over-the-counter treatments in accordance with state regulations
  • Utilizing Rx30 software for pharmacy management; training available for candidates with prior software experience
  • Maintaining compliance with FQHC and 340B program standards
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Current and valid New York State pharmacist license in good standing
  • Experience managing opening and closing procedures in a retail pharmacy setting
  • Proven leadership skills with supervision of pharmacy technicians preferred
  • Familiarity with 340B pharmacy operations is a plus
  • Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced, high-demand environments
Location: Canandaigua, NY (with lodging and meal allowances available for travelers living more than 75 miles away)
