Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor at our Jeffersonville, IN, facility to manage daily production, quality, and safety ensuring that required metrics are met. This position is responsible for leading the production team, auditing quality and productivity, and utilizing leadership skills to promote communication and innovation.
Work Authorization: To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the daily activities of production staff - establish and promote a team-based environment
  • Promote and uphold all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the shift productivity and OEE goals are met
  • Maintain quality and service by promoting and enforcing organizations standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with scheduling, front office and production leadership to evaluate capacity and proactively allocate resources throughout the shift
  • Recommend measurements to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality.
  • Maintain and monitor training progress of new operators and entry level employees.
  • Conduct reviews with team members related to performance goals, quality, preventative maintenance and safety.
  • Oversee and direct Continuous Improvement Projects and report monthly on their progress.

You Must Have:
  • 3 years' experience in manufacturing leadership (print industry preferred)
  • Exceptional communication skills to express team improvement, process change, both plant and individual goals, and good employee relations.
  • Technical skills to troubleshoot equipment issues and make appropriate decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility to monitor workflow and adjust resources in order to meet daily output goals and customer needs.

  • Printing experience preferred.
  • Leadership experience and training.
  • Continuous Improvement/ lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Interact effectively with all plant employees.
  • Experience with environmental and safety regulations including OSHA, EPA, and HAZMAT.
