PPAC Production Assistant

Job Description

Metropolitan School District of Pike Township



Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Technical Director for rental events, supervising and/or performing the functions of audio, visual, video, stage, and other production elements according to rental agreements
  • Oversees and assists with load-in and set-up of all technical and stage equipment for rental events
  • Remains onsite following rental events until renters have removed all equipment and vacated the facility
  • Utilizes best practices for meeting production requirements while ensuring safety and staying within budget limitations; and for the purpose of providing technical arts training for Pike students
  • Operates specialized control programs for theatrical lighting instruments, analog and digital sound reproductions systems, counterweight fly rail system, lifts, and a variety of power tools (e.g. table, band, radial arm and compound miter saws; drills, grinders) ensuring safe operation
  • Maintains inventory and reporting of equipment usage for each event
  • Supervises and monitors the work of contracted staff and student assistants for the purpose of providing technical education in a safe environment
  • PPAC Production Assistant will be evaluated by the PPAC Technical Director or PPAC Coordinator
