Location: Minutes East of Lancaster, PA
Salary: $75,000-$85,000 DOE + Annual Bonus Potential + Benefits

2nd Shift Production Supervisor Description

Our client in the wholesale building materials industry is looking for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead their afternoon operations. In this role, you will oversee second shift manufacturing operations, lead production employees, and ensure safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are achieved. Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing, strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes, and a proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment. 2nd Shift Production Supervisor Responsibilities

•    Lead and develop second shift production employees while promoting a safety-first culture
•    Carry out company quality policy with commitment to customers and continuous improvement
•    Supervise daily operations of welding, fabrication, sawing, punching, blasting, powder coating
•    Oversee robotic welding operations: setup, programming, troubleshooting, and quality control
•    Schedule production activities and assign work to meet production goals and KPIs
•    Monitor production, labor, and efficiency while identifying opportunities for improvement
•    Train and mentor employees, manage performance, and approve timekeeping records
•    Develop team with collective responsibility mindset, “can do” attitude, & clear communication
•    Lead Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste
•    Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with other supervisors and management
•    Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards
•    Communicate management decisions professionally and disagree in positive, constructive way
•    Perform additional tasks as needed or required
•    Be present on the shop floor 80% of the time

2nd Shift Production Supervisor Qualifications

•    3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required
•    3+ years of metals manufacturing experience required
•    Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings required
•    Basic math proficiency including fractions and geometry required
•    Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles required
•    Experience using ERP required
•    Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled environment required
•    Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lb. and assist with team lifts up to 100 lb. required
