OBJECTIVE
Our Customer Service Representatives (CSR)/Cashiers are responsible for providing excellent customer service, cashiering, stocking, general cleaning, etc. They will assist customers with a friendly attitude and serve our customers in a friendly, efficient manner that promotes a favorable image of the cooperative and serves the needs of the customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Friendly Attitude: Greeting customers with warmth, showing empathy, and being genuinely happy to help.
  • Efficient Manner: Providing prompt, effective solutions without unnecessary delays.
  • Favorable Image: Ensuring every interaction reflects positively on the cooperative, building brand trust.
  • Serve Customer Needs: Actively listening to understand and resolve issues, making customers feel valued.
  • Actively engages in cross-selling other products to customers to satisfy the customers' needs and obtain our internal goals.
  • Operate a cash register/credit card terminal and accurately count/handle money transactions.
  • Perform duties related to opening and closing the store for business and prepare routine daily shift reports, securing all cash and operating the security system.
  • Process patronage points and explain the program to customers.
  • Perform stocking and shelf maintenance duties within the station.
  • Perform indoor/outdoor housekeeping and maintenance duties to include, but not limited to shoveling snow, sweeping/mopping, emptying trash and general cleaning of restrooms/shower and lounge areas (where applicable).
  • Reports to work at the assigned/scheduled time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be patient and helpful to exceed the customer's expectations.
  • Must possess basic computer skills to operate scanners, registers, calculators, etc.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written directions in regard to paperwork and daily reporting.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Position requires this candidate to work second shift, 40 hours per week in this full-time position.
Schedule includes weekends and holidays, flexibility is essential.
Smoke-free environment that will be primarily indoor work but at times will be exposed to heat/cool outdoor temperatures as well as when entering coolers.
Must be able to lift a minimum of ten (10) pounds frequently and up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
Fast-paced environment requiring frequent bending, squatting, stooping standing up to 9 hours per day.
