Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a **1st

shift Maintenance Supervisor (Monday – Friday with OT as needed 6:00am - 4:30pm), **where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements. You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant. Bring your expertise and tools to a dynamic environment that values efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

- Previous hands-on experience with assembly line machinery including PLC programming Excellent reading, writing and math skills. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and mechanical skills. Be able to read blueprints. Basic computer skills using Excel and Word. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to influence culture from reactive to proactive maintenance methodologies.

  • Must be willing to work off shift hours (as needed)

    What You’ll Do

  • Directs the maintenance work force and provides on-site expertise.

  • Ensures that work is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Reviews work planning and scheduling with the production planner.

  • Ensures quality of work adhering to all safety standards.

  • Ensure that equipment availability is adequate to meet the production plan.

  • Works with plant or production supervision to ensure any operator's performed maintenance duties are facilitated.

  • Works with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all maintenance craft employees are properly qualified and trained for all maintenance work assigned.

  • Enforce environmental regulations.

  • Focuses downward and is highly visible in the field.

  • Champions proactive maintenance vs. reactive maintenance.

  • Administers encouragement and discipline to direct employees.

  • Monitors the CMMS.

  • Implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Works with procurement and external vendors for the purchase of supplies, parts, and obtaining competitive bids for equipment.

  • Monitors shop qualifications and quality standards for outside contractors.

  • Develops standards for major maintenance overhauls and outages.

  • Manage the maintenance team's maintenance budget.
