*First Shift is 6am-4:30pm, currently working 5x10 week. Weekends as needed.
Under direction from the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of both the production equipment and the physical plant. The work can be very complex, requiring in-depth knowledge of general industrial maintenance practices and procedures to select the appropriate course of action.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Embraces the 1 T.E.A.M. culture
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and the physical plant.
  • Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the production equipment and physical plant.
  • Install new equipment and systems.
  • Start and Complete Work Request form(s) within the manufacturing data system.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience in welding and cutting.
  • Forklift/crane certification
  • Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic repairs and installation
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and the use of a multimeter
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company.
  • Able to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, operating instructions, maintenance information and procedure manuals written in English.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; able to compute rates, ratios and percentages.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
  • One-year certificate from a technical school, preferred.
  • Industry knowledge and experience, a plus.
