Position Overview:

You will lead daily operations within a global distribution center supporting the manufacturing operations in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will oversee staffing, processes, and performance to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality fulfillment of orders. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners and lead a team to meet operational goals while driving continuous improvement. You will also manage budgets, support employee development, and ensure adherence to company standards and policies. This role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on operational performance and team effectiveness at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily department operations to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality order fulfillment aligned with performance goals.

  • Lead efforts to achieve and sustain safety, quality, and productivity objectives within the distribution environment.

  • Evaluate operational processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes based on data and performance analysis.

  • Manage departmental budget, including labor, packaging, maintenance, and related operational expenses.

  • Direct the preparation and analysis of reports on productivity, quality, safety, and process performance.

  • Coordinate workforce planning with Group Leads, including scheduling, task assignments, training, and coverage for absences.

  • Supervise employees in accordance with company policies, including performance management, coaching, and corrective actions.

  • Establish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and career development support.

  • Partner with Human Resources and staffing agencies to maintain appropriate staffing levels.

  • Communicate operational goals, performance updates, and organizational initiatives across multiple levels of the organization.

  • Facilitate team meetings and participate in cross-functional committees as a departmental representative.

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to drive performance, manage change, and sustain results through a team.

  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.

  • Working knowledge of distribution operations, including logistics, fulfillment, and facility processes.

  • Experience with RF/barcoding systems, sortation, or material handling technologies preferred.

  • Ability to perform work in a distribution and office environment, including lifting up to 40 pounds and operating equipment with required training.
