Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring an Wire Harness Assembler for our client. This job is responsible for assembling wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to technical specifications and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed instructions in a production environment.
 
What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Assemble harnesses both cab and mains.
  • Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools.
  • Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
  • Meet all quality standards for each task.
 
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Close attention to detail
  • Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools.
  • Familiar with the safe operation of various tools: including but not limited to drills, screw gun.
  • Ability to use basic mathematics.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40lb’s without assistance.
  • Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.
  • Ability to work with arms above head.
  • Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (minus specified breaks.)
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Ability to safely use specified hand tools, and machinery including press stamping machine and wire stripping machine.
  • Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Required to handle and dispose of hazardous waste.
  • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.
  • Personal Protective Equipment Recommended and/ or Required:
  • Safety glasses, or prescription safety glasses with side shields; Ear plugs; Work Gloves; Close-toed shoes
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.
