Job Position: Wire Cutter Location: Spring Grove, IL 60081 Pay Rate: $15.50-$16.00 Shift: 1st Job Duration: Ongoing Description:
  • Identify proper specifications from cut sheets and job orders
  • Manually and digitally set-up wire cutting machines to job specifications
  • Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of wire cutting machines for proper set-up and operation
  • Inspect products to ensure they are within specifications
  • Minimize scrap through proper operation, maintenance, set-up of machines
  • Communicate problems with machine operation and set-up to supervisor
  • Miscellaneous other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
  • Stripe wire using wire striping machine
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to see and differentiate colors. Corrected vision that allows reading of small alphanumeric print at a distance of 12-18 inches
  • Ability to lift boxes and spools of wire up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to while standing, many tasks require standing all day
  • Ability to maintain a brisk pace and meet generally accepted production rates
