Aerospace Wire Harness Technician

About Benmo

Benmo LLC is an AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer specializing in high-reliability wire harnesses, cable assemblies, electrical control panels, and electromechanical assemblies for the aerospace, defense, space, and industrial industries.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Wire Harness Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has experience building high-quality wire harnesses, enjoys working with precision, and takes pride in producing products that meet the highest workmanship standards.

Responsibilities

• Build aerospace and military wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, bills of material (BOMs), wire lists, and assembly drawings

• Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, connector assembly, heat shrinking, shielding, cable lacing, labeling, and cable preparation

• Assemble MIL-spec circular connectors, Micro-D connectors, D-Sub connectors, backshells, and other aerospace connectors

• Follow IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 workmanship standards

• Perform visual inspections and verify work before submitting assemblies to Quality Assurance

• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation

• Troubleshoot and repair wire harnesses as needed

• Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with company procedures

• Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of wire harness or cable assembly experience

• Ability to read electrical drawings and manufacturing documentation

• Experience with crimping, soldering, and cable assembly

• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification (current or previous)

• Aerospace, defense, military, or space manufacturing experience

• Experience with AS9100 manufacturing environments

• Experience with continuity testing and hipot testing

• Familiarity with ITAR-controlled products
